Looking forward to comparing notes on development here.Īnd Neko, very cruel of you to give Lyra the Jogger trait but prevent her from hauling. I installed Progress Renderer and set it to screenshot my base every 3 days. I briefly considered being a contrarian and going for the larger patch of rich soil towards the lower left, which would be cool as a base with no overhead mountain so no infestations spawning on top of me, but it's really close to the edge so sappers would be in real quick and with the 275 map size the opposite end of the map is even farther away than default which really sucks for hauling and hunting jobs. Nope, that was my first thought too, was to head in there. Fortunately, I've got some hay stored up, but this is like how my IRL cat insists he's starving, unless I fluff the food for him. I suppose all five of the cryopods could contain megascarabs.Īlso, why are my animals saying they're starving, when there's clearly still a bunch of grass in the grazing area? And no, none of them are carnivores. The centipedes won't leave the room though, so I'm switching off pawns as they snipe from the opening for the last couple days. Despite the pawn deciding to rush all three mechanoids, because I failed to set him to "flee", I still managed to turn him around and GTFO, only dropping a meal, as the scyther chased him, then got taken out by two of the fours deadfall traps I had set. I have had the unopened ancient danger change on me after loading I wonder if it's deterministic now.įYI, cracked it open again, and it was the exact same as it had been when I save scummed it previously. I'll be setting up a nice ambush for them tonight. A scyther and two centipedes guard something like 5 cryopods, an advanced component, two single use weapons, and some luciferium. I saved the game, opened the room up to see what was in there, and then quit for the night without saving. I did a bit of a savescum, as it was late when I found it.
